Longton Community Church’s Children’s Ministry aims to reach children who do not normally attend church, to share Jesus with them in a way that they can understand and to have a fun-packed and fantastic experience.
‘Planted in the House of the Lord, they will flourish’ is a verse of scripture that we as a team wholeheartedly believe, and our heartfelt desire is to bring children, through the different activities we run, to be planted in the house of God.

We aim to do this through a number of different ways; Tribe, our Sunday morning programme is very active, with lots of child involvement and is fun and fast paced. Here the children hear some teaching about Jesus and then focus on how that looks in their ‘own world’. We also have small group times within the programme, where the children meet with the same leader and the same kids each week, helping them to feel relaxed and secure.

Crash is our Friday night programme. With over 80 children regularly attending it is always loud and great fun! It features a very full programme to keep the children active and engaged for the whole evening, and each evening includes a slot in which the team share something of what life is like with Jesus as your friend. At Crash we have a great opportunity to connect with children from all across the local area, and from lots of different schools. We have special themed evenings, such as Crash-Factor, messy Crash nights, seasonal parties, trips to different locations and loads more.

Kids Escape is a full day trip which we run twice a year, and we do different activities such as a trip to the beach, a visit to the pantomime or sporting events.
The common thread through all these activities is our desire to share Jesus with not only the children who attend, but with their families to.

Our aim is to help children find Jesus, become planted in the house of God, and have fun all the way!
